Thus, here are links to where I'm spreading the blogging love:
Over at MIDEM, you can read all about how not to be overwhelmed by social networks, Twitter, tips, where streaming music is going, and all about me and HeidyV's adventures in the South of France at the conference. Also check out my post on Taking Risks, as not nearly enough folks do in the modern music industry.
I'm equally proud and excited to write posts for Hypebot once in awhile. If you don't know the site, you are missing out!! It's the go-to for the latest in "new" music industry & technology news. Bruce Houghton and Kyle rule! And have eyes and ears everywhere :). Anyway, here you can read all about how to conquer SXSW and why some artists want and like having managers. I am so in awe of both of the above organizations, I put time and thought into each blog post. Except for the "Case For Artist Management" post.
Hypebot asked me to respond from a manager's POV to a negative post about management and it took me all of 10 minutes to write and has generated more traffic and feedback than anything I've ever written. I'm sure there are many songwriters who have had a similar experience? :)
Ok, time for 6:30 PM yoga!!! It's a miracle, I'm usually solidly at the 8:15 PM class.
Much Love,
Em Wizzle
